Bhaye Pragat Kripala, Deen Dayala,
Kausalya Hitakari |
Harashita Mahataari, Muni Mana Haari,
Adbhuta Roop Bichaari ||1||

Meaning:
The merciful and compassionate Lord has appeared, who is the savior of the distressed and the benefactor of Mother Kausalya. The mother was overjoyed, and seeing His divine and wondrous form, even the sages’ minds were captivated.

Lochana Abhirama, Tanu Ghanshyama,
Nija Ayudha Bhuja Chaari |
Bhushana Banamala, Nayana Bisala,
Sobha Sindhu Kharaari ||2||

Meaning:
Lord Shri Ram's eyes are extremely charming, and His body is as dark as a dense cloud. He holds His divine weapons in His four hands. Adorned with garlands and beautiful ornaments, with large, mesmerizing eyes, He is the ocean of beauty and the destroyer of demons.

Kaha Dui Kara Jori, Astuti Tori,
Keh Bidhi Karun Ananta |
Maya Guna Gyanateeta Amana,
Veda Purana Bhananta ||3||

Meaning:
With folded hands, I offer my prayers to You, O Infinite Lord! But how can I truly praise You? You are beyond illusion, attributes, and knowledge, free from worldly pride. Even the Vedas and Puranas sing Your glory.

Karuna Sukha Sagara, Sab Guna Agara,
Jehi Gaavahin Shruti Santa |
So Mama Hita Laagi, Jana Anuraagi,
Bhayo Pragat Shri Kanta ||4||

Meaning:
You are the ocean of compassion and bliss, the treasure house of all virtues, and Your glories are sung by the Vedas and saints. For the sake of Your devotees, out of love for them, You have manifested Yourself, O consort of Shri Sita!

Brahmanda Nikaya, Nirmit Maya,
Rom Rom Prati Veda Kahe |
Mama Ura So Baasi, Yah Upahaasi,
Sunata Dheer Mati Thira Na Rahe ||5||

Meaning:
The entire universe is created by Your divine illusion (Maya), and the Vedas proclaim that infinite universes exist within each of Your pores. Yet, if someone says You reside within my heart, it seems like a jest! Hearing this, even the wise and steady-minded become overwhelmed.

Upja Jaba Gyaana, Prabhu Musukana,
Charita Bahut Bidhi Keen Chahe |
Kahi Katha Suhaayi, Maatu Bujhaayi,
Jehi Prakar Suta Prema Lahe ||6||

Meaning:
When the divine realization arose in Mother Kausalya's heart, Lord Shri Ram smiled. He wished to perform many divine childhood plays, so He spoke sweet words to His mother, making her understand in such a way that she could love Him as her own son.

Maatu Puni Boli, So Mati Doli,
Tajahu Taat Yah Roopa |
Kije Sisu Leela, Ati Priya Seela,
Yah Sukha Param Anoopa ||7||

Meaning:
Mother Kausalya, overwhelmed with motherly affection, pleaded, "O my child! Leave this divine form and assume the form of an infant. Your sweet childhood plays are most delightful and bring unparalleled joy."

Suni Bachan Sujana, Rodana Thaana,
Hoi Baalaka Surabhoopa |
Yah Charita Je Gaavahin, Haripada Paavahin,
Te Na Parahin Bhava Koopa ||8||

Meaning:
Hearing His mother’s words, the wise Lord decided to cry like an infant and took the form of a baby, though He is the Lord of all gods. Those who sing these divine pastimes attain the lotus feet of Lord Hari and are never trapped in the cycle of birth and death.

Leenha Manuja Avataara |
Nija Ichha Nirmit Tanu,
Maya Guna Go Paara ||

Meaning:
Lord Shri Ram assumed a human form for the welfare of Brahmins, cows, gods, and saints. However, His divine body is beyond Maya (illusion), material qualities, and worldly limitations—it is self-manifested by His own will.
